On a scorching Saturday (July 9), The Bristol Water Bar was at Bristol Pride Festival for a day of singing, dancing and staying hydrated!

With over 40,000 in attendance at The Downs, our taps were flowing all day. We handed out a whopping 1,500 litres of refills - which means we saved 3,000 plastic bottles that would otherwise have been destined for landfill or the ocean.

Our hydration station was much needed in the summer heat, with clear blue skies and beaming sunshine adding to the carnival atmosphere. Canadian dance-pop superstar Carly Rae Jepson headlined the free event, which featured multiple stages that included performances from local artists, emerging talent and community groups.

Long queues for the Bristol Water Bar at Bristol Pride

As always, our dedicated volunteers were on hand to cool things down, armed with water pistols, offering a light misting (or a super-soaking) to the long queues.

At Bristol Water, we’re so proud to have been part of the celebrations for Bristol Pride Festival 2022 and we can’t think of anything better than spending the day celebrating our wonderfully diverse community.

A big thanks to Bristol Pride for organising such a fun and inclusive event, we look forward to seeing you all next year!

Imagine this: it’s a Sunday morning, you’re half asleep, your head’s a bit sore after last night and all you want is a big, hot mug of coffee, to lounge about in your pyjamas all day and watch TV. You sleepily walk into the kitchen and there’s water everywhere, something’s leaked or burst then you…
