We’re excited to announce our very first Reservoir Run, hosted by Bristol Water, at the beautiful Chew Valley Lake on Sunday 5th October 2025 - and we want YOU to be part of it!

Whether you're a speedy sprinter, a gentle jogger, or just fancy a scenic stroll with the family, there’s a distance for everyone:
2.5k, 5k, or 10k – you choose your challenge!
Entry is just £10, and every ticket helps raise funds for The Grand Appeal (Registered Charity 1043603), the official charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity, supporting sick children and their families.

Where: Salt and Malt Carpark, Chew Valley Lake, Wally Lane, Chew Stoke, Chew Magna, Bristol, BS40 8XS.
Distances: Choose from 2.5k, 5k, or 10k.

Where is Chew Valley Lake?
Chew Valley Lake is located in Chew Stoke, just south of Bristol. The meeting point for runners is at the Salt & Malt site: Walley Lane, Chew Stoke, Chew Magna, Bristol, BS40 8SZ.
Is parking available?
Yes, there is a car park at the Salt & Malt site for participants and spectators, however spaces may be limited so we advise that you be dropped off where possible. An overflow car park can be found further down Walley Court Road at BS40 8TF.
Are there toilets at the venue?
Yes, toilet facilities will be available for all participants and visitors.

This running event takes place in the beautiful countryside surrounding Chew Valley Lake. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy nature while getting active.
Where does the race start and finish?
The exact start locations will be confirmed closer to the event date. Please check back for updates. All races will finish adjacent to the Salt & Malt car park.
Is the course suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! The event is open to all fitness levels, and we welcome runners aged 5 and above.
What distances are available?
Participants can choose from three distances:

Is there a limit on participant numbers?
Yes, places are limited, so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
When will I receive my race number?
Race numbers will be distributed on the day of the event.
Can I get a refund or transfer my entry?
Unfortunately, we operate a no-refund policy and entries are non-transferable.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable running clothes suitable for the weather. Layering is recommended for changeable conditions. Good quality running shoes are essential.
Can I wear headphones?
Headphones are allowed, but we advise against using them during the run so you can hear marshal instructions and safety announcements.
Facilities and Logistics
Will there be water stations on the course?
Yes, there will be a water station at the finish line. For those running the 5km & 10km, you will pass this point during your run. We also recommend bringing your own refillable water bottle to stay hydrated before, during, and after the race.
Can I bring my dog or a buggy?
Yes, dogs and buggies are welcome. Please ensure dogs are kept on a short lead at all times to avoid obstructing other runners.
Can my child run on their own?
All children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
What happens after the race?
All finishers will receive a commemorative medal and goodie bag at the finish line.
Are refreshments available on site?
Yes! The Salt & Malt café and chip shop at the start location will be open, offering a range of drinks and refreshments before and after the race.
