As a Hydrogeologist, you will be responsible for the efficient, reliable, and sustainable yield of raw water supplies and ensure all hydrometric data is collected, maintained and reported on. In addition, you will be the technical lead on all matters regarding the reliable and sustainable operation of raw water sources including both surface and groundwater abstractions. Day to day you will be: Responsible for running a sources inspection programme that includes yield tests, CCTV and other geophysical surveys of groundwater boreholes and wells and associated raw water infrastructure. Ensure that metering and flow gauging is accurate and is compliant with current legislation. When a risk to quality, yield or regulatory compliance is identified, work with the team to develop/contribute to business case submissions, mitigating significant risks or improving operational efficiency. Maintaining all hydrometric data on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. Interrogate internal and external databases to extract data and information as required Produce daily, monthly and annual reports summarising hydrometrics, abstraction and demand Submit outturn data to our regulators on a weekly, monthly and annual basis Report any outliers to the WSE Manager, and raise work orders for instrumentation and telemetry sites to be calibrated and/or repaired. Ensure that data and information requests from external regulators and stakeholders are carried out within agreed time frames. Payroll Specialist

We need someone who loves all things Payroll! It’s the most important function in any business so obviously we want someone who technically knows what they are doing, but above all we want someone who prides themselves on delivering a top quality service. If this sounds like you so please read on. What will you be doing? Working within the HR team and working closely with the Senior Payroll specialist, the team is responsible for 3 payrolls per month which include Employees, Pensions and Non-Exec Directors. This role will require you to liaise with a number of teams and individuals across the business but also to answer any employees’ queries. Other duties will include (but not limited to) the following: Assist with the monthly payroll process for salaries, pensioners and non exec payrolls Set up new starters and leavers on payroll Assist employees with any queries including, overtime, mileage, expenses, payslips Check and enter correct information for employees onto the payroll system Check tax codes and deductions Calculate statutory payments for maternity, paternity and shared leave payments Issue P45's for leavers, P46(pen) for new pensioners and P60s at the end of the tax year Submit payments and required information to HMRC through FPS and EPS Monitor and process overtime, mileage and expense submissions each month Complete the ‘after the payroll’ process each month for all 3 payrolls including P45s, payslips and reporting Complete the calculations of WTD to ensure an additional payment is paid to include an average rate of overtime worked by each employee to ensure their normal remuneration is maintained.
