Fleet, Logistics & Business Resilience Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet, Logistics & Business Resilience Manager to join our Bristol Water team. Reporting to the Head of Procurement & Business Services, in this role you’ll initially be aligning the new combined, Fleet, Logistics and Business Resilience Team and then working with team in providing effective management for all areas of the department. What will you be doing? As Fleet, Logistics & Business Resilience Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and supporting the work of the team to provide viable and effective business management systems and services. As well as ensuring that all legislative and best practice compliance is met, you’ll also have opportunity to always strive for efficiency and improvements across the department and services provided. Day to Day you’ll be… Responsible for the effective and efficient management of the logistics department, ensuring that seasonal trends are mapped and planned for to provide a great service. With the support of the Fleet Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for the management of the Company’s vehicle and plant operation Accountable for aspects of fleet commercial management, including the selection of existing/future supply chain and recommendations of alternative suppliers if required. Managing fleet programmes and progress Responsible for compliance with the Company’s Operating Licence Develop and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions to satisfy the system and process requirements of the business and outside parties in the areas of Emergency Planning and Preparedness, Security and Business Continuity. Develop solutions and implement systems to ensure that the Company satisfies its regulatory obligations in conforming to the requirements of the Civil Contingencies Act and maintaining the necessary certification of its Security and Emergency measures in

Trainee Leakage Inspector Apprenticeship

This is a great opportunity for a Trainee Leakage Inspector to join our Leakage team on a Level 3 Apprenticeship, starting from as soon as possible, until April 2022. What will you be doing? In this varied field-based apprenticeship, you’ll be out and about learning everything you need to know to help ensure that unreported leaks and bursts are detected which will help to reduce the level of water loss on our Network. You will be trained in a range of leakage techniques and equipment to locate leaks throughout our Network and on our customer’s properties. This role is the perfect opportunity for you to get an introduction to the water industry, or to dip your toe in the water, if you like! Alongside learning all about the Leakage Inspector role, you’ll also get a formal level 3 Water Process Technician qualification via your apprenticeship. You will have plenty of time, support, and guidance throughout your apprenticeship and you will develop your knowledge and build your water industry qualification alongside your day to day role. Day to day you'll be.. Carrying out investigations using various techniques to detect and locate areas of leakage and unaccounted water loss. Identify and investigate new and existing trade and exceptional night users. Using various computer software packages to programme and download Flow and Pressure Data-Loggers, and Acoustic Leak Noise Data-Loggers. Using leakage detection equipment such as Leak Noise Correlator, Acoustic Sounding Devises and Acoustic Leak Noise Data-Loggers etc. Carrying out on site diagnosis and plumbing repairs where the supply can be controlled. Salary: Starting at circa £16,000 depending on skills and experience whilst training. Potential to earn up to £24,700 fully qualified
