Asset Risk Analyst

We have a great opportunity for an Asset Risk Analyst to join our Asset Risk Team who are responsible for identifying, analysing and evaluating the company’s asset risks. Bristol Water is undertaking a significant asset improvement programme over the coming years, so this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain invaluable asset management experience which will become fundamental to your future career within the water industry. What will you be doing? In this role you will use your process engineering knowledge and asset management exposure to get out and about to our impressive 16 Treatment Works 164 Pump Stations, 139 Reservoirs and 6700km of mains pipes! There, you will need to investigate to understand the likelihood and, consequence of identified risks to how they how work, operate and function. Given our wide range of assets, this could be minor risks, or have the potential to be detrimental to water supply… Using the company’s specialized Asset Risk Software, you will need to be maintain the Asset Risk Register with accurate, consistent and current information. In this varied role, you will have plenty of opportunity to conduct evidence based Investigations into the root causes of new risks and evidence based assessments of the likelihood and consequence of each. With exposure across the entire business, you will also conduct meetings with operational Area Managers and other key stakeholders to identify new risks, report current mitigation measures, report on the status of current risks and evaluate any residual risk after the implementation of a solution. Support the development of successful Implementations through the clear transfer of Asset Risk Information to Asset Planning and Projects Reporting of risks to stakeholder

As Asset Strategy Manager here at Bristol Water, you will be providing and managing asset performance and deterioration modelling for the optimised asset intervention programme as part of our Asset Management capability. In this role you will have opportunity to use your expertise in identifying, evaluating and implementing improvements to the asset modelling and optimisation process and techniques. You will also have responsibility for the provision and implementation of methodologies and criteria for optimising assets lifecycle decision making, as well as support on the definition of asset reliability performance targets and long-term investment forecasts. This role provides a great opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues across this business within Asset Management, Strategy & Regulation, Finance, and other parts of the business. We have a fantastic opportunity for a part time Customer Services Advisor to join our busy and varied operational customer services team here at the heart of Bristol Water. With provision of service to more than a million customers, this is a great opportunity for you to join us and make sure each and every customer’s experience a great one! The Operational Customer Services Team provides front line contact with customers to accurately record and resolve operational enquiries and complaints. What will you be doing? As an Operational Customer Service Advisor, you will be passionate about ensuring that customers receive the best possible service at all times. Working in a small and supportive team, this varied role will require excellent customer service skills and the ability to react quickly in an empathic and calm manner. You will be required to provide advice and guidance about a variety of issues, ranging from water pressure and quality queries, up to emergencies within customers’ homes, or simply keeping them updated about progress and checking satisfaction levels. We currently have a part time role working a mixture of late afternoon/early evening and weekend shifts. The team operate on a shift pattern which includes some weekend working between 8am – 8pm. Once fully trained you will be part of the standby rota, typically one week in seven, for which additional payments will be made. Day to day you will be.. Answering telephone, email and written enquiries and complaints as quickly as possible and in the appropriate manner to ensure that the targets for customer service are met. Strategic Operations Unit Member

Would you like to be part of a critical frontline operational team who are collectively responsible for effectively and safely carrying out vital repairs and maintenance to our mains (large pipe) network? The Strategic Operations team are responsible for carrying out the regular routine inspections and operations on our Potable Water Reservoirs (Large Drinking Water Storage Tanks) Trunk Mains Network (Large Water Pipes) and Alternative Water Supply equipment (Small Mobile Drinking Water Storage Tanks) to ensure that all fittings and equipment are operating effectively and securely, to ensure customers receive good quality water at all times. What will you be doing? As Strategic Operations Unit Member, you will help to keep Bristol and our surrounding community in water by carrying out vital repairs and maintenance to the strategic mains system. This will be outside, site-based work and can be in poor weather and challenging circumstances. Emergency repairs following major failure have to be completed whatever the prevailing weather conditions. You will respond in emergencies and you’ll be deployed to any part of the supply area to deal with major distribution incidents and provide essential first-hand information to the Operations Room and managers to deal with the emergency. The Strategic Operations Units operate across the whole company area 365 days per year and provide out of hours duty cover through a regular 24-hour x 7-day week standby rota.
