Service Connections

This section of the website will talk you through the requirements which need to be met in order for you to be ready for your connection. We have also outlined some common problems and how to tackle these, such as working on contaminated land.

There are many types of service connection and strict policy which governs their installation. This is to ensure that all water supplied is safe to drink at the point of supply. We therefore need to make sure as your water supplier that any additional supply pipes comply with the regulations.

We hope you can find what you need in this section, but if you have any other questions please contact us on 0345 602 8022, we are open from 8am to 4.30pm

Joint Supplies

Joint Supplies

The following should all have their own, totally independent, metered water supply pipes connected directly to our network:

  • Newly developed properties that are capable of separate occupation.

  • Every part (e.g. flat or commercial unit) of a newly converted property that is capable of separate occupation.

  • Separately occupied parcels of land created by the recent sale of sections of a larger premise. Properties or water fittings (e.g. animal troughs) on either side of the boundary cannot, therefore, remain on the same supply after the sale.

If you are involved in the design or construction of high-rise flats, or other properties where a communal pumped system is required, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss metering arrangements for the supplies.
