Our team will again be on hand to provide water at this year’s Albert Goodman Weston Super Half, helping the event to eliminate single-use plastic.
We will have water stations at the popular half marathon on Sunday, 24 March, from which runners will be offered environmentally friendly cups along the way. There will also be bottle refill points at the start and finish lines.
It’s believed this will save around 18,000 plastic bottles from being used at this year’s event.
In addition, our team will be giving out water-saving devices in the runner’s village, including two-minute toothbrush timers, and will provide information on how customers can save water and money.
Now in its fifth year, the 13.1-mile Weston Super Half is one of the most unique in Britain’s marathon calendar, featuring a beach section, a nature reserve and a big finish on the town’s Grand Pier.
