Bristol Water is supporting The Natural History Consortium’s widely accredited Festival of Nature, a week full of events designed to inspire visitors to take action for the environment.

In its 23rd year the festival, taking place across Bristol and Bath from 6-14 June, will focus on the role that trees play in our waterways, climate, wildlife and communities.

It will feature an unveiling of a woodland art-installation in Bath’s Southgate shopping centre and a giveaway of 500 tree saplings for communities to grow their own canopies.

The festival attracts 30,000 visitors annually, and this year’s programme is its largest to date with over 160 free activities for the public and for industry experts. Events will take place both online and in-person and will include walking tours, workshops, wellbeing sessions, talks from experts, film screenings, and much more.

Bristol’s Wild Weekend will close out the week of celebrations in Millennium Square, where South West Water’s Customer Engagement Team will be talking to visitors and answering questions about drought resistant plants, water efficiency, and billing support.

Also in Millennium Square will be the all-new ‘How To’ tent where attendees can learn from experts at Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust and Avon Wildlife Trust about how to protect their local wildlife. Another festival first for 2026 is ‘Nature at Night’ which offers a night-time safari and opportunities to get involved in photography and foraging.

Savita Willmott, Chief Executive of The Natural History Consortium who produce the festival, said: “It’s absolutely brilliant to have Bristol Water take centre stage at Festival of Nature this year, as we celebrate an amazing 15 years of partnership, bringing nature to the streets of Bristol and Bath. We love their content, and our visitors do too!”

Daniella Twelvetree, Bristol Water's Director of Customer Communications and Engagement, said: “Supporting the Festival of Nature is a fantastic opportunity to connect communities with nature, inspire positive action, and help people better understand the vital relationship between the environment, water and the places we live. Supporting events like this reflects our commitment to working with communities and partners to create a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone.”
