How can I save water?

There a number of ways you can save water which will not only save you money but will ensure you are using it more efficiently and lessen your impact on the supply.

There are many things you can do around the home to reduce the amount of water you use and to conserve water, water butts for the garden and remembering to turn off the tap when you brush your teeth are key.

These are our top three tips for saving water in your home:

1. Turn the tap off whilst brushing your teeth and save 18 litres of water
Did you know? Brushing your teeth with a running tap uses 9 litres of water a minute.

2. Take a 4 minute shower and save an average of 20 litres of water
Did you know? Having a shower uses an average of 62 litres of water.

3. Put a full wash on and save up to 10 litres of water
Did you know? Washing your clothes uses an average of 112 litres of water a week.
