What are we doing?

Over time, old metal pipes can become rusty and corrode, which increases the chance of a leak or burst.

We will be replacing around one and a half miles worth of water mains between Wraxall and Ditcheat.

We know that roadworks can be frustrating but our contractors will be working as quickly as possible and we will keep you updated at all times.

The work will reduce the chance of a leak or burst happening in the future, so the work really is worth it.

What's happening when?

To allow our workers to carry out the essential improvements to your water supply safely, the below road closures will be in place:

Ditcheat Hill road closure (phase 1)

Monday 6 May 2019 for 3 weeks

Ditcheat Hill road closure (phase 2)

Monday 27 May 2019 for 3 weeks

Wraxall Road

Tuesday 2 July 2019 for 7 weeks

Dates are subject to change

Please note the dates given are current estimated dates and are subject to change. Changes will be due to completion of other work. We may find we are ahead of schedule or behind schedule throughout the programme. You will be given at least two weeks’ notice of any impact that will affect you.

Interruptions to supply

Throughout the work there will be short periods when we may need to turn your water off. This is usually due needing to connect your supply pipe to the main. We will send you a ‘Green Card’ at least 48 hours before any period we need to switch your water off.

How can I stay updated?

You can also contact us on Facebook (or Twitter) and ask anything you like.

We will send letters to those houses affected by the works at least two weeks in advanced.
