The Youth Board

We want to know how you think we can improve, we care about your opinion, and we care about the opinions of our future customers too. That’s why we’re inviting sixth formers into our offices to have their say.

Bristol has more children aged 0-15 than people aged 65 and over.

What we've achieved so far...

  • Over 40 students have been involved over two years
  • 11 schools involved in the project
  • Ideas from the youth board now form part of our brand

What is it?

Our Youth Board aims to bring the views of young adults into our decision making as well as providing development opportunities and business experience for those involved. 20 sixth formers are invited to join the forum every year, they attend meetings at our Head Office and are given a task to work on which they later present to our teams, as well as our CEO.

Why we do it?

As well as the unique opportunity of gaining experience in the world of business for the members of the Youth Board, it also benefits us here at Bristol Water. We get a rare chance to listen in to some fresh ideas from a younger generation which enables us to get some insight on their attitude towards the environment, water usage and what's most important to them.
