It is easy to have a beautiful garden, and at the same time save water. How? By choosing the right plants for different situations, preparing the soil properly and adopting a sensible policy for watering.
We have created our own special water-saving garden in the grounds of our Head Office. The garden demonstrates techniques which anyone can follow, like a recycling fountain, rainwater collection and various types of mulch. You'll see different varieties of drought-tolerant plants and a wet area too, with a selection of aquatic species from deep water to shallow water and damp loving bog plants. We have also incorporated unusual features in the garden like a Japanese Dry Stream and a section of the original wooden pipe which carried water down Bristol’s Park Street almost 300 years ago.
