We recognise that some of our customers have difficulties paying their water bills.
If you are one of those customers, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to pay your bill and any outstanding debts.
If you have problems paying your bill, please get in touch – we can only help if we are aware of your circumstances.
We offer several ways to make it easier for you to pay your bill including:
- flexible payment options to spread the cost
- direct deductions from benefits under the Water Direct scheme
- Restart and Restart Plus – specific schemes designed to help customers with severe financial difficulties get back on track
- the WaterSure scheme is designed to help low income customers whose water is supplied by a meter. The scheme was formerly known as the social tariff. Click here for more details.
- Our Assist tariff, for customers in extreme financial difficulty
We also fund debt advice within the community by awarding grants to debt advice agencies, including Citizens Advice Bureaux.
If you have problems paying, please ring us today on 0845 600 3 600 (Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm).
For independent financial advice, contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau – you will find the number in your local telephone directory or visit: www.citizensadvice.org.uk
