Now You Have Turned on to Water Metering


This leaflet has been written for customers that have had a meter installed and offers advice and information on all aspects of being metered. It tells you about the meter and how metering can benefit you.

With a metered account you are billed in arrears for the volume of water used and the disposal and treatment of waste water. Your metered bill will cover charges for water supplied by Bristol Water and sewerage services from Wessex Water. The bill and all billing enquiries are dealt with by Bristol Wessex Billing Services Limited, the joint billing company set up by Bristol Water and Wessex Water. By being aware of how much water you use and avoiding waste, you conserve water resources and a water meter may also help to identify leaks.
