The Scheme
This optional scheme provides reduced tariffs for high users of potable water. Potential savings depend on the number of meters and the amount of water used on a specific site. If you plan to use over 5,000 M3 of water in the year starting 1st April 2010, you may save money by joining the scheme. (See back page for examples)
How the Scheme Works:
The scheme offers six tariff bands, each with different percentage reductions from the standard volumetric charge and different annual fixed charges. You choose the band that is applicable to you, based on the previous years consumption and forecast consumption for the year ahead.
Bristol Water now offers a more flexible scheme with an extra band for users between 5,000 – 15,000 m3m, and will also allow our customers, in some cases, to change bands during the year. The scheme still relies on the accurate forecast of usage to ensure maximum savings, but will acknowledge the seasonal changes that may occur in business production.
The fixed annual charge is split into 12 equal monthly payments, so if you do change tariff bands, the new fixed charge becomes valid from that month. The bands are shown overleaf.
Benefits for Customers:
You have the option to join the scheme and we think you have everything to gain by joining. The benefits are as follows:
- Savings on the Bristol Water standard tariff.
- Monthly meter reading and billing.
- Flexibility between bands. It is possible to change bands if consumption patterns change but this cannot be backdated.
- The fixed annual charges are based on the band you choose and not calculated on the number of meters, as is the case with standard metered supplies.
- You will have a dedicated BusinessCare Account Manager for all dealings with Bristol Water.
