Bristol Water welcomes new CEO
Mel Karam has joined Bristol Water Plc as Chief Executive Officer.
Mel Karam brings over 25 years’ experience and a proven track record in asset management and capital delivery in the power and utility industry to the role.
Mick Axtell who was appointed as Interim CEO in December 2016 has moved back to his role as Chief Financial Officer and executive director now that Mel Karam is in role.
Bristol Water Chairman Keith Ludeman said:
“On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Mick Axtell for stepping up to CEO during the last few months whilst also maintaining his role as CFO.”
Bristol Water plc has also announced the appointment of Catherine Amanda Jones as Company Secretary with effect from 1 April 2017.
Catherine Jones is a solicitor and has held a number of roles within the aerospace and defence industries. Catherine is also Interim Head of Legal & Compliance for Bristol Water.
This appointment follows the resignation of Colin Caldwell as Company Secretary of Bristol Water with effect from 31 March 2017.
