All water companies in England and Wales are required by Government to prepare and maintain a Drought Plan on a five yearly cycle. The plans are produced following guidance provided by the Environment Agency. Our drought plan identifies the actions we will take to maintain supplies during a drought situation, and how we will communicate with our customers about the situation.
We updated our Drought Plan in 2011 and invited you to comment on the new draft Drought Plan. We then prepared a Statement of Response which described how we would take into account all of the representations made during the consultation period.
We are now in the process of updating our drought plan for publication in 2017.
